IT Architect and System Specialist
IT Specialist will provide analytical support necessary to develop & implement business continuity, disaster recovery, high availability, and virtualization solutions for specific business requirements.
Install, maintain and provide 24x7 support for Unix infrastructure and 3rd party products. Provide input and reporting for Unix performance and monitoring, perform in-depth Unix problem analysis, root cause analysis, corrective actions and maintenance patches.Apply complex AIX UNIX concepts and provide resolution to critical problems, all in a variety of areas within System p, SUN sparc,AIX and Solaris. Develop policies,guidelines, standards and procedures in Unix environment.
The successful candidate must have significant skill and understanding of System p servers, operating systems and middleware.
The following skills are required for this position: expertise in UNIX OS(AIX,Solaris,Tru64), linux (RHEL &SLES);database (oracle, DB2, Sybase), SAN,Websphere Application Server(WAS), UNIX Clustering (HACMP, VCS);Backup & Recovery (TSM); Performance monitoring and reporting (Tivoli Monitoring tools - ITM, ITCAM for WAS, ITCAM for RTT), Expertise in Enterprise Virtualization skills (PowerVM,APV) on POWER5-POWER6 (p570, p575, p590, p595) and Sun hardware (SPARC); performance tuning; Shell programming-(ksh, bash, etc. scripting);
