Scheduled Work Hours:
Full Time - 9 to 5 - 40hrs/wk

Service Scope:
As the Data Architect, you will work with application development teams and business users to define the data requirements of each business area and create conceptual, logical and physical data models to represent and implement the corresponding data structures. You will evaluate, design, approve, and implement all changes to existing databases. The position defines and provides to the development team; policies, standards, and procedures for database development. Responsibilities include the development, maintenance, and publication of all database documentation.

Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or relevant discipline
• Ten (10) years’ experience in relational and analytical database design and development
• Experience in large, high volume OLTP environments with focus on performance centric design
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Expert level experience with data modeling tools, specifically Erwin 9 (Experience with IBM InfoSphere Information Server Family is highly desired)
• Proficiency in data warehousing principles, relational database management systems, and logical and physical data models is required.
• Experience with E-R modeling, data modeling techniques such as star schema modeling, cube processing, snowflake dimension modeling, fact and dimension modeling using Erwin.
• Experience with the development and documentation of data requirements and business rules
• Experience with development, documentation and implementation of data mappings for ETL implementations
• Strong working knowledge of relational database technology (DB2 LUW/UDB preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) – Both Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML)
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
• Ability to lead and facilitate design sessions with developers, business analysts, and users
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
