Service Scope:

SR. Quality Assurance Analyst (Programmer Analyst III)



 



Responsibilities:





  • Work with project management team, technical team, and business unit in the
    requirements gathering process to determine high level designs
    Ensure that products are appropriately quality assurance tested


  • Manage both the functional and performance testing

  • Communicate and interact with different teams (making appropriate judgments
    of team roles and responsibilities)


  • Work independently and be fully responsible for work results

  • Create test strategy based on the analysis of design document and requirements
    Create and execute test cases; log and assign defects and keep track of the defect status


  • Report the results to the management and team lead in timely matter

  • Assist in testing efforts, perform unit testing and fixes during testing process

  • Assist the support team in deployment

  • Other related development tasks in the SDLC

Desired Skills:



  • A minimum of 6 to 8 years experience in testing of large-scale enterprise applications.

  • Familiarity with XML files/editors

  • Knowledge of basic Unix commands

  • Ability to create SQL queries and work with TOAD

  • Ability to gather statistics, create performance matrix, plan and analyze system performance.

  • Perform end-to-end test process for complex enterprise solutions.

  • Work closely with project managers and project team to provide testingtimelines; participate in the early phases of projects to ensure that inputs into testing process can be translated into a test plan and test cases.

  • Design test plans for projects and work with project teams to obtain approval.

  • Work closely with project teams to understand solution requirements and generate test scripts and perform test analysis.

  • Execute all functional and performance tests according to test plans and scripts, document results, and quickly identify and troubleshoot issues.

  • Ascertain performance and scalability requirements for each release.

  • Conduct performance tuning in different categories: network, system, platform and application

  • Help to develop testing artifacts (scripts, monitors, scenarios, etc.)

  • Diagnose complicated performance issues based on analysis of performance tests execution results (Load, Stress, Scalability) and provide recommendations for solutions.

  • Run performance benchmark tests.

  • Ability to provide guidance to team members.

  • Ability to manage schedule and  workload.

  • Provide QA support for the City's existing and emerging technologies in government operations and its delivery of services to the public.

  • Analyze user requirements.

  • Create Test Cases/Test Scripts as per Business Requirements and Use Cases.

  • Create Test Plans for core functionality of web-based applications and underlying architecture.

  • Design software solutions for specific business problems- in maximizing efficiency of overall computer operations and recommending software enhancements for changing user requirements.
