GCOM is led by a diverse and talented management team.  Our management team is hands on – you will see and hear from us daily on our client engagements, you will see us at industry conferences sharing point of views on emerging business and technology trends, and you will see us in our communities contributing to social causes we are passionate about.  Our management team is introduced below:

Mr. Kamal Bherwani

Mr. Kamal Bherwani, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), brings more than 30 years of global technology and operating experience with multibillion-dollar enterprises across both the public and private sectors in CEO (Chief Executive Officer), CIO (Chief Information Officer), CTO (Chief Technology Officer), and CDO (Chief Digital Officer) roles.  Most recently, he served as the Chief Technology Officer of Inversora Agroindustrial Global, leading technology strategy, architecture and operations as well as global private and venture capital technology investments. He has also spent a significant portion of his career in New York City under the administration of multiple Mayors, including as the first Chief Information Officer of the City’s Health and Human Services domain, comprised of several agencies focusing on social services, criminal justice and health.

Mrs. Heidi Green

Ms. Heidi Green, Chief Operations Officer (COO) Heidi Green’s career spans more than 30 years in the information technology business where she has led teams in pursuit of large outsourcing deals, grown company 'green-field' operations to scale and gained experience in post-acquisition company integration. Ms. Green brings a successful track record of building and leading IT services and product businesses in the Public and Health and Human Services sectors. Green has also built and led numerous product development teams, both onshore across the U.S. and offshore. Importantly, she has spent a significant portion of her career in the State and Local government market across the U.S. driving revenue growth and increasing client satisfaction while improving profit margins. She joins GCOM after a series of leadership roles at CGI, where most recently she served as a sector leader in the Southern California, Arizona and Nevada areas.

In her role as COO, she is responsible for client project delivery, product development, project oversight and client account management, with the goal of integrating technical and industry expertise to accelerate growth.

Mr. Ernie Connon

Mr. Ernie Connon, Chief Growth Officer (CGO) Ernie Connon is a seasoned executive who has spent 30+ years in senior technology leadership and as an active Board participant for multiple growth companies. He has been involved in multiple fund-raising activities, worked with both Venture Capital and Private Equity investors and been a lead participant in multiple company acquisitions. Born in the North East of Scotland, Connon attended university in London. He spent over 15 years at British Telecom before moving on to other endeavors, including the development of successful start-up companies including Versatility, Inc., which had success with an IPO prior to being acquired by Oracle in 1998.

Connon’s experience includes serving as the President and CEO of Cúram Software Inc. in North America and as Global Sales and Marketing leader for Cúram Software Ltd. Connon was instrumental in Curam’s growth into a Health and Human Services technology powerhouse; winning major government contracts that included all the major Canadian Provinces, a third of all US States, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, the UK and Ireland. IBM acquired Curam Ltd. in 2011. At IBM, Connon was Vice President, Worldwide for IBM’s Health and Human Services Industry Solutions in the IBM Software Group. In 2015, Connon left IBM to become President and Chief Executive officer of SiteHawk Inc. a SaaS Chemical Data Management provider to major corporations and their deployed operations across over 128 countries. In his three years at SiteHawk, Connon led a 100% growth in SaaS revenues, a doubling of the number of SaaS clients, a major re-branding exercise and the establishment of an innovative customer success operation.

Since stepping away from SiteHawk in December 2017, Connon has founded a successful boutique consulting company, Alba Advisors. He mentors start-up companies and their CEO’s through organizations such as Startup Virginia and Lighthouse Labs. He is also active in Board work and as an Angel Investor. Most recently he assisted one of his own angel investments through its initial funding round and first major commercial contract.

Mr. Viren Alvekar

Mr. Viren Alvekar, Managing Director, has over twenty years of experience in managing systems and technology projects that deliver and transform services in enterprise environments. He has a successful record of accomplishment in delivering IT Projects for public and private sector clients that serve a variety of functional areas such as banking, healthcare, finance, legal and accounting. Viren brings creative and analytical thinking to the team with strong technical acumen and passion for impacting business outcomes. Viren holds a MBA degree from Binghamton University, Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.

Viren leads GCOM enterprise project delivery via a multi-disciplinary, highly skilled digital team and business development activities.

Mr. Abid Bargeer

Mr. Abid Bargeer, Managing Director, has over twenty-five years of experience in designing and implementing distributed (client server and web) systems using Java/J2EE technologies, and has a strong delivery record. In the past few years, Abid has architected and modernized systems for various public section agencies using Java/J2EE, Curam and WebSphere technologies. Abid has expert knowledge of Java, J2EE, XML/XSLT, UML, design patterns and Service oriented Architecture (SOA).

As a Managing Partner, Abid is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing GCOM’s portfolio of proprietary solutions, technology components, and accelerators that enable GCOM to deliver differentiated technology services to our clients.

Mr. Sunil Bhatia

Mr. Sunil Bhatia, Managing Director, has more than 18 years of experience in cross-functional areas, including IT project management, IT infrastructure management, technology administration, ERP development, software implementation, systems integration, business analysis, business and technical documentation, systems architecture, and platform migration. Sunil leads GCOM’s Information Technology Staffing Division and serves as account manager for GCOM’s New York City and Minnesota Staffing Contract Accounts.

As a Managing Partner, Sunil oversees GCOM’s global staffing team and is responsible for attracting and retaining highly professional and dedicate technology professionals to service GCOM staff augmentation and project delivery based contracts.

Mr. Rahul Bhosle

Mr. Rahul Bhosle, Managing Director, is an entrepreneurial and focused IT professional with over 20 years of experience delivering quality solutions to state and local agencies. Rahul drives results through a combination of leadership, initiative and customer delight.  Rahul is proficient in web & mobile technologies, business intelligence, SOA, RDBMS, data migrations, reporting, COTs customizations & system integration new, and upgrades solutions. Rahul has proven ability to analyze organization’s and customer’s business requirements, identify areas for improvements and develop strategies, define detailed execution plan aligned to the identified strategies, build teams to deliver specific initiatives and enable business adoption. 

As Managing Partner, Rahul oversees and is the steward of GCOM’s Services Quality Activities which includes maintenance and enhancement of GCOM Execution Methodology.  Rahul also leads GCOM’s services quality internal audit program on GCOM’s larger engagements.

Mr. David Butter

Mr. David Butter, Managing Director, is a seasoned management and technology consultant with 15 years of experience leading technology and strategy projects. Prior to joining GCOM, David was associated with the big five technology and management consultancies where he held leadership roles on a number of public sector engagements and strategic firm initiatives in the licensing, education, health and human services, and health insurance exchange practices. David is a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with experience in Project Management, Product Development, Integrated Solutions and Requirements, Product and User Acceptance Testing Systems Implementations and System Maintenance and Operations.

David leads GCOM enterprise project delivery and business development activities.  David works with GCOM's Executive and Project Management teams to plan, staff and deliver engagements that delight our clients.

Mr. Chandan Chandwani

Mr. Chandan Chandwani, Managing Director, has more than 17 years of experience in IT consulting, including several leadership positions, and has been a specialist in strategic planning and business transformation for public sector organizations. His prior experience includes working for large firms such as GE, IBM, and KPMG. Chandan is a senior-level enterprise applications specialist with global experience in the areas of architecture, development, business consulting, product development & management, and go-to-market strategy. He has extensive experience managing and delivering System Integration and consultancy engagements for customers in multiple geographies and industry verticals.

As a Managing Partner Chandan handles diverse roles across the organization, evangelizing end-to-end solutions using the latest IT technologies, best practices, next generation solutions, enabling process and technology transformation, with a strong focus on New York City government.

Mr. Riyaz Ladkhan

Mr. Riyaz Ladkhan, Managing Director, has almost 20 years of experience in the IT industry with in-depth expertise to a variety of leading information technology platforms Microsoft, Oracle, JAVA, Salesforce and numerous commercial off the shelf technology platforms.  Riyaz has experience managing large, diverse information technology projects which include application development, re-engineering, analysis and design, systems design and implementation of various solutions in domains such as health care, licensing, and case management.

As a Managing Partner, Riyaz leads the execution of strategies, GCOM's day-to-day-operations, as well as leading the company's development and technology strategies. He is also responsible for resource management, RFP responses, and project estimation.

Mr. Chris Lloyd

Mr. Chris Lloyd, Vice President of Consulting Services, most recently served as Chief Portfolio Officer at the NYS Office of Information Technology Services responsible for Information Technology investment governance. Chris was responsible for intake and governance of the state’s major IT investments into the $1.8B IT Project portfolio covering all Executive Branch agencies. Other responsibilities included oversight of the Lean program and management of Customer Experience Design services. Prior to NYS, as both practitioner and leader, Chris spent 20 years at an international IT and Management consulting firm overseeing business development and service delivery to select commercial and public-sector clients. Chris’s strengths include client relationship management, driving innovation, managing organizational change, strategic planning, portfolio and project management, and overseeing complex multi-entity IT initiatives.

Mr. Lloyd holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. He graduated Cum Laude from the University at Albany, SUNY, and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.

Ms. Holly Savarese

Ms. Holly Savarese, Vice President of Administrative Services, brings an extensive 25+ years of corporate operations experience to the GCOM team.  Prior to joining GCOM Holly was highly successful in the telecommunication industry. She has proven experience collaborating with senior management to conduct strategic planning in order to support and further corporate goals.

As VP of Administrative Services, Holly oversees GCOM’s finance, administration, and human resources functions. Holly provides the backbone for GCOM values and employee morale.  She approaches every opportunity with a balance of empathy and business acumen that helps to make GCOM a great place to work and a great company to work with.

Ms. Marta Mosher

Ms. Marta Mosher, Director of Human Resources, brings in more than 20 years of experience in human resources and administrative management to GCOM.  Marta’s experience encompasses accounting, human resources, payroll, and recruitment. Prior to joining GCOM, Marta was highly successful in the entertainment industry. She streamlined Accounts Receivable process and decreased (DSO) Days Sales Outstanding by 15 days thereby improving cash flow.  Her efforts led to faster growth of the company.  

As Director of Human Resources, Marta’s oversees GCOM compliance, payroll, and benefits management functions.  She is also instrumental in championing GCOM great place to work initiatives.

Ms. Julie Bashant

Ms. Julie Bashant, Account Manager, has more than eight years of comprehensive experience in business development, customer/partner relationship management, and proposal response writing. In her role, Julie develops strategic relationships with Customers, Partners, and Candidates, to ensure GCOM is able to provide the best-fit solution. Julie has proven experience managing public sector accounts, including GCOM's New York State Hourly Based IT Services (HBITS) account since its inception. Julie has a background in Business Development, with a degree in Business Management, and holds numerous sales certifications in technologies such as Citrix, Oracle, and AWS.

As Account Manager, Julie oversees GCOM’s marketing and growth development, by developing organizational goals and initiatives to build key relationships, while simultaneously working to ensure customer satisfaction.
