GCOM wins large project with FDNY

Albany, New York – GCOM Software (GCOM) is pleased to announce that the City of New York Fire Department (FDNY) has selected GCOM to expand the Coordinated Building Inspection Data Analysis System (CBIDAS). FDNY provides mission-critical building inspections and fire prevention inspections services to prevent and mitigate potential fires and other hazardous conditions throughout the five (5) boroughs of the City of New York. CBIDAS will support inspection scheduling, tracking, issuance and resolution of enforcement actions, and accounts receivable (related to inspection violation fees). The implementation contract runs for 3.5 years.

GCOM will work with the FDNY team to design, configure, customize, and implement a new application, the Fire Inspection Revenue and Enforcement System (FIRES), using Accela (Accela.com) Civic Platform and integrate FIRES within the CBIDAS enterprise solution.    The completed system will provide FDNY with a comprehensive inspection and enforcement tracking system and achieve FDNY goal and objectives to improve Public & Fire Fighter Safety, enable more efficient use of Fire Fighter and Inspector resources and  enhance data collection & analysis.
