Kamal brings more than 30 years of global technology and operating experience with multibillion-dollar enterprises across both the public and private sectors in CEO (Chief Executive Officer), CIO (Chief Information Officer), CTO (Chief Technology Officer), and CDO (Chief Digital Officer) roles. Most recently, he served as the Chief Technology Officer of Inversora Agroindustrial Global, leading technology strategy, architecture and operations as well as global private and venture capital technology investments. He has also spent a significant portion of his career in New York City under the administration of multiple Mayors, including as the first Chief Information Officer of the City’s Health and Human Services domain, comprised of several agencies focusing on social services, criminal justice and health.
Chief Growth Officer
Jake has spent his career advising government clients on how to successfully tackle business intelligence (BI) and information management challenges, and he has been involved in over 100 BI and data analytics programs across the government. As CEO of Qlarion, Jake provided executive leadership across all aspects of Qlarion's operations, with particular emphasis on growth strategy, sales and marketing, and strategic alliances.
Under Jake’s leadership, Qlarion established a sterling reputation as the go-to firm at the epicenter of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s efforts to use data to improve government services and impact the lives of constituents. Over the past four years, Qlarion has worked with Virginia to solve the complex cultural, legal, and technical challenges involved in bringing together data from across dozens of Commonwealth agencies to address key challenges across public health, workforce, and education domains. The premier example is Qlarion’s opioid data sharing program, called FAACT, which aggregates data from numerous agencies to empower community opioid responders to understand the dynamics of the opioid crisis in their communities and make data-driven decisions on how best to fight this epidemic. In 2020, Virginia turned to Qlarion to expand the FAACT platform to provide near real-time data analytics about the spread of COVID-19 for Governor Ralph Northam, his cabinet, and his health advisors. They now use this platform every day to make data-driven decisions to protect Virginians.
Chief People Officer
has proven operational strength in business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, HR strategy, leadership development and HR initiatives such as performance management, employee engagement and communication. Susie’s career has spanned large and small organizations in the non-profit and for-profit technology space, with many organizations being recognized as great places to work. Previously, at CGI, as the Vice President of Human Resources, Susie provided strategic counsel to CGI's leadership, including the President of CGI US, Europe and Asia and the President of CGI Federal. Throughout her career at CGI, Susie led the integration of HR processes for key outsourcing clients and company acquisitions. She pioneered the implementation of a highly successful Leadership Development program. Susie was hand-picked to lead the integration of a $900M acquired company, bringing 5,000 new employees into CGI, doubling the existing employee base and revenue of CGI US. Susie currently serves on the JMU College of Business Board of Advisors. Most recently, she was honored by Recognize DC 2019 Top HR and Talent Professionals and 2019 DCA Live HR Leadership Awards.
General Counsel and Chief of Staff
Vanessa Champion was the Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President at MacAndrews & Forbes where she advised M&F and its portfolio companies on legal, business, and government matters.
Prior to working for M&F, she was the Senior Advisor and Counsel to New York City’s First Deputy Mayor, charged with managing large agency portfolios. Her responsibilities stretched from the Office of Management and Budget to the Department of Information Technology.
Before the Mayor’s Office, she was the Chief of Staff and Counsel to the New York City Comptroller providing management and oversight for the office’s eight bureaus, 750 plus employees, and 90M plus operating budget.
She also worked as a securities litigation and enforcement attorney at WilmerHale LLP. She received a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. from Amherst College.
City and State named her a “40 under 40 Rising Star” and Latino Leaders selected her as one of 25 New York City “Leaders of the Future.”
Chief of Client Outcomes
Christine has over 25 years' experience working to define and execute effective IT strategies that support positive business outcomes across commercial enterprises and all levels of federal, state and local government. Christine has served as a New York City Agency CIO, and most recently as a Senior Expert Partner at Gartner. In her role as Chief of Client Outcomes, Christine leads a team focused on understanding government pain points and how GCOM’s solutions can deliver better outcomes for State and Local government clients.
Chief Operations Officer
Heidi’s career spans more than 30 years in the information technology business where she has led teams in pursuit of large outsourcing deals, grown company 'green-field' operations to scale and gained experience in post-acquisition company integration. Ms. Green brings a successful track record of building and leading IT services and product businesses in the Public and Health and Human Services sectors. Green has also built and led numerous product development teams, both onshore across the U.S. and offshore. Importantly, she has spent a significant portion of her career in the State and Local government market across the U.S. driving revenue growth and increasing client satisfaction while improving profit margins. She joins GCOM after a series of leadership roles at CGI, where most recently she served as a sector leader in the Southern California, Arizona and Nevada areas.
In her role as COO, she is responsible for client project delivery, product development, project oversight and client account management, with the goal of integrating technical and industry expertise to accelerate growth.
Paul G. Murray
Chief Financial Officer
Paul has over 30 years of experience helping technology enabled service companies grow and prosper. He has a proven-track record of creating enterprise value through accelerated growth, business transformations, and implementing processes that improve core business operations and bottom-line profitability. Prior to GCOM, Paul was CFO & Treasurer for Phase One Consulting Group (acquired by Accenture). Paul also served as CFO of Digital Management Inc (DMI). During his time at DMI, Paul was able to more than triple the company in size and scale through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth.
Paul also has led initiatives at DMI and Phase One to achieve ISO and CMMI accreditations. Earlier in his career, Paul held CFO roles at various portfolio companies of The Gores Group, such as Compudyne, Aptiv Technology Partners, and Proxicom. In his role as GCOM’s CFO, Paul manages all aspects of the company’s financial operations including overseeing the internal IT operations.
Paul received his B.S. from the University of Richmond and an M.B.A. in Finance from Westminster College. He is a Certified Public Account, Certified Management Accountant as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Chief Product Officer
has worked with organizations around the globe to lead innovations in technology strategy, digital transformation, and product management. He has more than 20 years’ experience spanning the public sector, health care, and media. As the former Chief Software Architect for the City of New York’s Health and Human Services, Puri architected and implemented systems that helped redefine the use of technology and data in health and human services agencies in New York City. During his time in Northrop Grumman as a lead architect, Puri led the effort to build a Fraud Waste and Abuse platform and team to win the FPS 2.0 contract at the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services. Overseas, Puri spent four years in Madrid as the Director of Digital Innovation for Grupo Prisa, the world’s largest Spanish-speaking media company. More recently, as the Chief Technology Officer of Magine (a digital streaming media company based in Stockholm), Puri was responsible for the architecture, buildout, and operations of Magine’s global platform. As Chief Product Officer, Puri will be responsible for ensuring that GCOM's product portfolio meets customer and market demands. He will work closely with all of the GCOM teams to build business cases, roadmaps, go to market strategies, and platforms that enable GCOM's customers to be successful.
